Great day checking out Freemantle today, did the museum and Markets and the Round building. Here, we observed a cannon being fired, of cause without the ball. We learnt about how the seaman knew the time in Fremantle by the firing of the cannon and the lowering of the black ball, which helped with their navigation. The saying "Keep your eye on the ball" came from the seamen watching this ball from sea.Read more
