Juneau

Today we head into Juneau. We had to tender today as there were 5 other ships in port. Wandered the shops for a bit before catching the tour. Got my little moose here. The tour today started off at Mendenhall glaciers . Though we couldn’t get close to the glacier it was still amazing how blue the ice was. We did walk out to Nugget Falls. That was well worth the 2mile walk.
Then it was off to do some whale watching. We got onto a two story boat. It was all enclosed except for the upper deck which had open areas..the first whales we encountered was Sophia and her calf. The calf was most entertaining. Started of by leaping out the water a couple of times. At one time it breached right next to the boat. He even laid on its back and waved it flipper. We saw a couple of seals. We even saw an eagle swoop down on a seal and try to steal its fish. Spent a long time watching the whales with lots of video.
After our return from whales, we didn’t have any time left for town, so we caught the tender back to the ship. Had dinner then caught two shows tonight. Aaron Shaw vocalist, and then comedian Spencer James adult show. Both were very good.Baca selengkapnya
