Bordeaux - last day

Torrential showers = indoor entertainment and a visit to La Cité du Vin for the story of wine and viticulture. Admission price included one glass of wine in the 8th floor Belvédère bar which has a 360 panaromic view of the city (too windy and rainy to get a good shot from the terrace, sadly). I choose a fine glass of Paulliac, one of the local Grand Maison.

Then it was across the road to Les Halles Bacalan for some gourmet tapas before a long walk back to my accommodation. The city centre had been made traffic-free as demonstrators clashed with police over the latest ruling on Macron's new policy.Read more
