Hospitales to the Green Camino

Began this day taxing from our comfortable hotel room to the bus station where Ryan and I boarded buses going in opposite directions. Ryan to the airport and home to family and work. So grateful for his time taken away from both. I must say I relied heavily on his working Spanish skills and I must now buck up and fend for myself. A years worth of Duolingo hasn’t prepared me nearly enough. Anyway definite feeling of loneliness I will need to work with God on.
My bus arrived in Tineu at 9:00 and I found a cafe for some breakfast before heading to the Camino. As luck would have it I past a tiny shoe store that had a few small daypacks I had been looking for. I will use Correros backpack transfer service for three long days and needed a small daypack for essentials. Here’s some pictures from today’s walk. Oh by the way I now understand way the Spanish day is so different from ours. I arrived at Compiello around 2:30. and checked in and was directed to the restaurant/bar for the Pilgrims lunch. A three course meal was served of a salad that would easily feed two then a chick pea stew good for two couples and finished off with a large bowl of rice pudding.
