    June 28, 2019 in Canada ⋅ ⛅ 17 °C

We had a fantastic time at Kristin's and Lee's place. Your property is beautiful like heaven on earth. I never have lived so close to bears, coyotes and dears. I really liked to be woken up by singing birds and listen to the sound of croaking frogs while drifting into dreams. We really like you guys and our fingers are crossed that your plans for the future will come true. 🤞🏻Read more

  • Uninterested wildlife

    July 2, 2019 in Canada ⋅ ⛅ 17 °C

Who us the boss of the road? Who has always right of way? Who is the most photographed thing in the Rockies?
Its no human, no bike, no mountain.
We were standing in line for 30 min waiting to drive again. We thought there was an accident or a construction site. But no.
It was the canadian wildlife standing in the middle of the road, because it's so nice to be in the spotlight.

  • This is Fred

    July 2, 2019 in Canada ⋅ ⛅ 14 °C

Fred is our very kind and calm neighbour, most of the time. Today we hang our clothes line to dry our bikinis and towels. Fred was not amused. He was screaming at us and we didn't understand. Finally we found the mistake. Our line was right in front of his tree hole. He tried to untie the knot but he failed and was complaining louder and louder.
Stubborn as we are, we didn't moved the line. He got used to it an calmed down again.

It's called Badlands because a lot of bad people remove all the fossils... not really, but tourist destroyed a lot of heritage.
The name Badlands dates back to aboriginals, the land is bad for grass or animals. It more desert and clay then anything else. Up to 4 cm or soil is washed away every year, revealing new fossils. A couple of millions of years ago this was first a sea, then a river, then a swamp and finally a glacier. Lots if dino preserving factors.Read more
