Let's go to Toronto!
Since our plan to drive across Canada changed to stay in beautiful BC, we decided to check out Toronto for a few days. Just so that we can claim we have been in the east of Canada!
The Jeep
It's orange, it's big(-ish) and if it where summer we would totally take the top off! But most importantly, it was a free upgrade from a Kia Rio!
Oh and it only has a 2L 4 cylinder... No magnificent
Scarborough Bluffs
No we did not play poker in Scarborough and lost all our money. These bluffs are a natural cliff face composed of clay, rocks and sand. There are some awesome beaches and parks here and many, manyもっと詳しく
Toronto Waterfront
We only walked about a third of the waterfront, but it's awesome. Watch planes land, sit on a beach, admire ships (boats mostly) or stroll along the water (slippery when wet signs everywhere!)
We saw
Steam Whistle Biergarten
Inside Roundhouse park you can find many things, but the best is probably the very tasty beer that is brewed here. They even offer german style beer. Which we tried, and it was pretty close!

Downtown Toronto
We enjoyed the city, even though we loved the forests of Canada. I think it has a lot to do with the openness and cleanliness of Toronto. Everything is easily reached on foot (although pedestrianもっと詳しく
Skylon Tower

Niagara Falls
The world famous falls... one of the natural wonders. Impressive on its own, one has to remember that only about 30% of the water flows over the falls, the rest is used for power generation by the USもっと詳しく
Niagara on the Lake
You know, when you visit a fort in Europe, you think of stone walls and a bastion. Here it was was just a powder magazine and earth mounds arranged in a star pattern. It worked though...
A walk through Old Toronto
There is something special about walking between old brick buildings and skyscrapers. Luckily for us, the streets are a grid, so we didn't get lost. Unlike Germany where we get lost on our ownもっと詳しく
Allan Gardens

Visiting the "queen of the night" has never been easier. The Allan botanical gardens feature plenty of interesting plants. From arid or tropical regions, they have some beautiful specimens.
Nathan Phillips Square
Right in front of the town hall is the Nathan Phillips Square. On it you can find Archways that where constructed to remind us of the horrors of world war 2. Underneath is a running track.
The first and last espresso
For our last night in Canada we thought we would pretend to be wealthy and let others serve beer, wine and some good food. The Italian restaurant was nestled in between the towering buildings, andもっと詳しく
You can't stop the plane from taking off
When we started our journey, the thought of going to somewhere I never was before frightened the heck out of me. But now that it's over I'm scared to go back to my normal life. Germany feels so smallもっと詳しく
