Thorong La Pass

Das Highlight unserer Wanderung: die Überquerung des Thorong La Pass auf 5416 m. Darauf haben wir wochenlang hingefiebert und lange war auch ungewiss, ob ich die Höhe schaffe. Und nun war es endlich soweit: die Nacht davor haben wir in Thorong Phedi übernachtet auf ca. 4500 m und sind dann um 5 Uhr morgens bei -10°C gestartet. Nach zwei Teepausen und viel Gejammere meinerseits sahen wir dann endlich die ersehnten tibetischen Flaggen im Schnee. Es war ein Augenblick großer Freude und Demut. Wir sind sehr stolz auf unsere Leistung.

The highlight of our hike: the Thorong La Pass (5416m). We'd been waiting for a few weeks for this one special moment and didn't know if I could actually make it.
The night before the crossing we stayed at Thorong Phedi on 4500m and started the hike at 5 am and -10°C. After two tea breaks and a lot of complaining by me, we finally saw the Tibetan flags in the snow. It was a very happy moment for us and we are very proud that we did it!もっと詳しく
