The Airport at last

For weeks people have been asking... "are you all organised for your trip" and the answer has been a resounding "No"... even as I was leaving home (10 minutes late) it was still a "no" it has all seemed a mad panicked rush. But at least we are at the airport. As Mum would say it is now "hurry up and wait". We have checked our bags, going through departure and passports, done some duty free shopping (alcohol and make up for me and Kirstin respectively) and are now sitting in the Mexican Bar having wine and fried potatoes ... mmmm. At 5 to 9 we will board our flight for a 14+ hour flight to Dubai, a brief transit then another 7+ hours to Paris - I don't even want to think about how long it will be until we see a bed againWeiterlesen
