Dubai

Well we've made it to Dubai - or the airport at Dubai to be more precise - we landed at 5.25am and the temperature was already 35 degree C!! However we don't get to go outside (Kirstin is VERY pleased about that on account of her fleecy trousers)..... rather we have had a long walk through a climate controlled, shop stuffed, crazy high speed beeping golf buggy infested, terminal to gate A22 where we are now awaiting the flight to Paris (another 7 hours). The Terminal is completely OTT - you can buy anything from a Gucci handbag to a 600 carton of cigarettes, Starbucks coffee to a porsche, a salt and pepper set (in traditional Arabic) to a pint of Guinness or even a chocolate camel ... its just crazy!Weiterlesen
