Day 22 - Boquete

Early am last swim, quick breakfast then off on the boat back to Bocas town, and another boat to the mainland. 4 hour bus ride down through Panamá, the whole ride was mainly just dense greenery and waterfalls! Boquete is right in the Hills (I think about 2.5k mtrs altitude) and next to Volcán Baru. Town seems quite spread out, with a small but busy town Centre with a river running through one side.

After visiting the school, picked up by David, the step dad of the host family im staying with. House is pretty basic but all good and has all the life of a busy family house - and a very cute cat called Mimi (mouse replacement for the week)! Maryam is the mum, and sells flowers at local market. She has 3 kids who are in and out of the house - all seem lovely, and great to be able to practice speaking with everyone in Spanish!Read more
