The Golden State of California

"You shall not pass!" said the Californian boarder to the rain clouds. It was shocking the abrupt change in weather between the two states and we took full advantage. Found beautiful beaches to enjoy and one in particular was perfect to watch the sunset while cooking a meal. The night ended by the side of the Smith River between giant Redwoods.

"Vous ne passerez pas !" dit la frontière californienne aux nuages menaçants. Le changement abrupt de météo nous a laissés pantois et nous en avons allègrement profité. Des plages magnifiques (et interminables!) dont l'une fût parfaite pour préparer le dîner sous la lumière tombante d'un coucher de soleil idyllique. Rassasiés et ravis, nous avons élu domicile dans un parc forestier désert en bord de rivière (Smith River), cernés par les séquoias.Read more
