Active day in ChCh

Great to get the bikes off the truck this morning and to do the long awaited ride with Carol. Unfortunately Malc had to work. Carol took us through a Council Regional Park called The Groynes where there are lakes, picnic areas and walking/cycling tracks. Very pretty and super fun. We rode into Clear Water golf resort and had coffee and a muffin sitting in the sun admiring the gardens. We started from Carol and Malcolm's house and only had one main road to cross which was a bonus. Unfortunately though the finish of the ride was slightly spoilt by my bike tyre being punctured by a nasty thorn. Luckily, an easy walk away is a bike shop and the repair was done quickly for $10 while I was in the supermarket.
