Thursday Porto and Lamego

The highlight of the day was the trip to Lamego to the church dedicated to Mary mother of Jesus. There was beautiful music being played through outdoor speakers. The church was gorgeous. It's the one with the blue colors. After visiting the church Roger walked down the 687 steps into the town This is called the stairway to heaven if you go from the bottom upwards. These beautiful blue tiles are at intervals on the stairway. There is another small cathedral in the town which Roger also went into with our guide. (I was resting in the shade again) That's the church with the gold ceiling . We got back about 5.30 and I skipped the night out with dinner and went to bed. Slept about 13hrs. ☹️ poor Rog.
