    Akurra Trail walk, drive to Marree

    Left Copley, and walked into Aroona Dam on the Akurra Trail, from Leigh Creek (10.5km return). Lots of feral goats around the dam - it's closed from 12 June for pest control.
    Another coffee and cake at The Sassy Emu - how could we resist!?
    Then drove through a dry, flat country to Marree. Not a lot at Marree - we're in the pub car park overnight (meal @the pub) before 7.30am flight over Kati Thanda (Lake Eyre)    Read more
