Tongariro National park

Day at Tongariro National Park. Stopped to take photos of Mount Ruapehu and Mount Ngauruhoe. Amazing.
We took the sky waka gondola up from the base of Ruapehu. Bought the tickets and then read the information about it being an active volcano. Unexpected eruptions can occur. There were posters advising what to do if the sien sounds. My plan was to panic 😱.
It was a little scary. We had a walk across the side. Simon could have done more, but due to my ability to fall over a piece of string, we didn't go to far.
Back down on the Gondola and then a walk up a rocky area so that we were facing Ngauruhoe. Very impressive.
Drove down to Whakapaka village and did the Taranaki Falls track. Amazing scenery and another amazing waterfall. As everything in New Zealand, we walked up and down and up and down. Definitely worth it.
Back for a rest and then fish for dinner.
