    There is a massive chateau here. Apparently visitors are only allowed four times a year. Not our lucky day.

    The village is famous because Napoleon went to military school here. And visited again because he had such a good time.

    It’s a simple village. Quite bigger that Voillcomte and few more modern buildings. Has a super market. Cous cous and roast chicken for dinner! With a bottle of champagne of course. A lovely church that is abandoned. Open, but no services!

    The Durup side of the family is from here with with the Du Dombal side of the family from Voillcomte.

    The family were squires to the King! So assume they were pretty prominent in society. None of the locals recognise the name or, sadly, know much of their history. Will have to do more research.
