• Along the Rhine

    July 6, 2025 in Germany ⋅ ☁️ 18 °C

Paul picked a lovely route today to drive mostly down the Rhine. It wasn’t a very long drive, but we enjoyed every minute.

Paul also threw in a cross-river ferry crossing and has told me that this was my Rhine cruise experience. No need to pay $20k for another one. This one cost €12.40.

Had a light lunch along the river across from a UNESCO village called St Goar. So much history where we were.

Quite a few castles right up on the hills overlooking the river. Paul loves them and pictures the battles that would have been fought to protect the towns.

We have stopped for the night on a lovely farm. We are the only ones here. Just like home, no facilities…just a bit of grass, in paradise. We will take it thank you and a half dozen eggs.
