The Beginning of Something Big

Here I am, on train going on my first solo trip, no meeting anybody at the end, just me, myself and I.
I have my Tiny Taeyong (TT) plush to keep me company.
My first train is at 6:55
I've packed a couple of books and a magazine about the victorians.

My original train to Edinburgh got cancelled but luckily there's one an hour later with about 15 minutes more on the train.

Buttercup has the zoomies this morning, I'm gonna miss her.
While I was waiting at the train station I bumped into Vickys fiance Chris, we sat and chatted till he had to get off at Ashford.

Welcome To The Land of Unicorns

After I made it to King's Cross without any problems, I found out that my train has been cancelled so I had to wait for the 9am train.
I slightly panicked but quickly got over it and found the Harry Potter store and had a cup of tea before getting on the train.
I did have a tiny bit of panic but I was ok.

Luckily I had the seat next to me free so I could chill out on the way.
I listened to some music and read my magazine.

When I arrived it was raining.
I was a bit early for my check in so I went into HMV and got a couple of kpop albums.
I managed to leave my bag at the hotel so I went to lunch at Hard Rock Cafe.Read more

Walking and Being Wet

After lunch I got a couple of things from the Hard Rock Cafe shop, I got a £10 discount because it was my birthday.
The lady was very nice and happy.
I walked round to what Google maps said was the hop on bus tour only to find it that it wasn't so I had to walk all the back near the Hard Rock Cafe and googled the address, it sent me to the train station.
I found the bus tour office and they said that the buses have stopped running for the day.

Wanting To Get Dry

The receptionist at the hotel suggested The Ghost Bus Tour this evening.
So I booked the 6pm one and walked down to the meeting point.

The Ghost Tour was very interesting, the old double decker bus was filled with smoke and old lamps.
We even walked in a graveyard for a couple of minutes.

But now I'm tired and ready to get dry in my hotel room.
Lovely yet very wet day.
Excited to see what tomorrow brings!

Edinburgh Castle

A 15 minute wet walk and I made it to Edinburgh Castle 🏰
Not gonna lie it wasn't what I was expecting, you can't actually go into the castle but you can go into the Great Hall, prison etc.
I enjoyed it though and I got a couple of books.

Hop on Hop Off

Disappointed that I miss my Hop on Bus Tour yesterday I was happy to see that I could do it today!
I only had to wait about 15 minutes.
It was nice to get out of the rain for a bit.

After my tour I went to have some lunch at a Korean restaurant called Bibimbap.
It was very tasty.

I managed to get an earlier train home so I just about made it on the 2:30 train.

I've had an amazing yet very time in Edinburgh!
I've proven to myself that I'm more confident than I thought.
Even though I've had a couple of little hiccups today they didn't ruin the experience for me.
Would love to go again with better weather haha.
