    First stop information center to make sure I dont miss anything along the way. So glad I did lady told me so many places to see along the way to Katoomba. Lithgow is a beautiful little town loved how all the old houses are still being lived in today in the foothills.
    The Blast Furnace park is the remnants reminding us that Lithgow was the birthplace of the Australian iron and steel industry Constructed in 1913. At its peak produced 105000 tonnes of pig iron primarily used for Trans Australia Railway.
