    Balaklava

    Staying at awesome CP here in Balaklava until 23/12/25. Took a day trip on my own to Freeling home of the Mcclouds Daughters series very interesting and memorable. Ticked it off my bucket list took a few detours on the way to Gawler but got there in the end. Mmmmm might of got a bit lost didn’t get back until 630 only took 10 hours to do about 100k whoops.
    Have a few couples here at cp and have enjoyed quite a few afternoon drinking so many laughs.    Meer informatie

    How is this for a vets waiting room.Really made Drake stay calm back again tomorrow. Grass seed in foot and stomach problems.Nearly had to get the vet for gary lol

    Set up at the RV free camp in town. Awesome little spot close to many park walk right on the river running through the town. walking distance to all shops and pubs.

    Day trip to Blanchetown small little town not much happening they are slowly rebuilding from floods years ago. Luck had it that the paddle steamer was coming past on its weekly trip. What a beauty it was to see it come through the lock.Meer informatie

    Did a day trip to here for sullies and to look around another beautiful little town so clean and historic wonder walk along the cliffs over looking parts of the Murray. South Australia you certainly have some wonderful place to explore.Meer informatie

    Booked into RV park at the oval on the banks of the Murry river. $25 a night power and water hookup and so well looked after by Cathy it’s a credit to her. Wonderful green oval and Drake is loving the fact of being able to run off lead and chase his ball without getting full of prickles and grass seeds
    all through his fur. Definitely stay here again. Went to the local club for tea and I won the meat raffle go me. The club is mostly run by volunteers very well run and very friendly locals.    Meer informatie

    Another wonderful town on the edge of the riverlands. With the Murry River going through the middle. Was so exciting to put the car and van on the ferry to cross the other side. I know im a big kid but it was pretty exciting to me first time ever lol.Meer informatie

    Farrell Flats

    All settled in to freecamp. Took a quick look around town it didnt take long lol. Called into the local pub had a couple drinks. Now back to sit and watch the sunset.
    Fantastic little RV camp brand new toilets play area for kids and a dog off lead area. Small donation only is all they ask for. For upkeep of area. Well done Farrel Flats.Meer informatie

    Bowman RV Park Crystal Brook

    Called into Port Pirie for supplies then onto Crystal Brook 20k out. Found this awesome RV stop for the night maybe 2. We are over looking the creek its dry at the moment but still the views are beautiful real out in the bush vibes.
    Lots of old heritage buildings to explore. Wonderful kids play area has been built and very well looked after. Walking trails and bike trails have also been maped out for your enjoyment. Donation only for camping to go towards upkeep of this wonderful place.    Meer informatie

    Last stop again not much but another lovely little town in the middle of nowhere. before coming down through the Hancocks Pass stunning views right out over plains and views of the gulf.
    Never known a state with so many churches.Meer informatie

    Next stop Hawker not a lot there so went to pub and had lunch. Had a little go on the pockies first time since arriving in SA lol.

    Kanyaka Homestead Ruins

    Next stop was Kanyaka Station a must see on the loop.
    Up to 70 families once lived and worked. Sadly the owner Huge Proby drowned in the Willochra Creek in 1852. Its was then brought by John Phillips who constructed a 16 room homestead and many other huts and buildings for all the families. It was amazing to see and walk around this very historic station.Meer informatie

    Quorn

    Today the sun was finally shining and the wind was gone so we went of on a adventure and did the self drive Flinders ranges Loop approx 250k. Big Day. First stop was Quorn a lovely little town well preserved from long ago. Est 1878
    Lots of the old buildings are still being used today. There were numerous parts from movies filmed in this little outback town. Lots of history and wonderful walk trail around town with all information.    Meer informatie

    Spear Creek Flinders Ranges

    Well took off from kimba might of stayed longer than was allowed but hey no one moved us on.
    Journey on to next destination Spear Creek holiday park on the foot hills of Flinders Ranges only booked 2 days but when we got here loved it so booked another 4. Such lovley views and very relaxing place. Got heaps off books so I know what I’ll be doing.
    Got some really awesome walk trails we will be doing tomorrow so I’ll add more photos if we survive lol.
    Did sunset walk trail tonight first time been able to get out of van last 2 days the wind has been horrific.    Meer informatie

    Kimba SA

    Staying at the rec center free camp. It's awesome showers water huge camp kitchen only ask for a donation to the Men's Shed of Kimba. Can stay for up.to 5 days so probably won't be moving any time soon lol.Meer informatie
