Tour de Wine - Stage 4

The day started with a stunning trip to the beach, a walk along the cliff route to experience some more of the beautiful coast line. The beach was beautiful but the water was so cold! It was a great finale and good send-off from Hermanus. We felt very different today than we did when we arrived 🥰

Then we started our trip through some of the “back roads” of South Africa, more beautiful scenery which also reminded us a bit of how we imagine the US and Australia’s scenery. The farmland here is huge!

A temporarily closed road forced us to delay our arrival in Franschhoek but instead of a 2.5 hour detour back to Cape Town we decided to take our detour at the hidden gem that is the Stettyn Wine Estate, unknown to us but well worth the visit 🍷🇿🇦

Finally in Franschhoek, we settled into our wonderful guesthouse and then explored the neighbourhood. We had dinner at the Tuk Tuk Brewery. A welcome change from wine to beer - especially ahead of the wine tram tomorrow 🤭
