    Breakfast with a View

    Good Morning…
    Waking up in our Tent ⛺️, well, could have been a bit more comfortable but it was nice, sleeping in the nature.. we made ourselves ready for the day, and went to the Restaurant at the Campground, of course at the Terrace to enjoy a good island breakfast… mhhh… before we heading to a hike in the jungle….Læs mere

    Boat Ride into the Jungle

    … after Breakfast we took the Public Bus, to the Place where the River starts to go further inside the Jungle, as we got off the Bus, at the other side, at the Riverside was the Boat waiting for us.. we had to take a 40 min Boatride on the River to go further in the jungle where the Hike starts… real Amazonas Vibes here, except us there were nobody and no cell reception… so let’s enjoy the boattour…Læs mere

    Rainy Jungle Hike

    … we hiked a bit further, to a second Waterfall & Viewpoint, as it started to rain heavily and the further trail was not covered anymore under the Tree’s, as well, as the Trail got pretty slippery… we decided to turn around…

    As Adele told me i have something on my leg, I figured that it was a Small jumping Bloodsucker, we got paranoid, our shoes were full of them.. it was disgusting…

    … The way back we were faster because of them… at that time it was not nice, but i guess nowadays we can laugh about it…    Læs mere

    Way back out of the Jungle

    … quite happy & totally wet ( from head to feets ) when we saw the boat arriving to pick us up… we had enough of the Bloodsuckers…

    … still raining we made our way back on the boat out of the Jungle… and after the boat, we took the Bus again to the Campground… and than a well deserved HOT SHOWER & FRESH, DRY CLOTHES…

    Fact for today: this was definitely an unforgettable Adventure!!!    Læs mere

    Morning Swim in the Sea

    Last Morning on Iriomote Island, we woke up, made ourselves ready, packed our bags and the Tent, and as we still had time because we take the ferry in the afternoon, we went for a swim one more last time…

    Just chilling at the Beach, swimming, watching the cute small Blue Fishes, making some Pictures & played some UNO…

    After that we took the Public Bus to the Ferry Terminal, but before we bought some Baby Pineapples, you can find them on the Streetside, just put a 100 Yen inside a Box and take a Pineapple 🍍    Læs mere

    Boat Ride to Ishigaki Island

    As we on the Boat to Ishigaki again, the Boat was like a Speedboat, we were sitting outside, the wind was blowing & we had a few salt water showers… all in all it was so much fun!

    When we arrived at the Ishigaki Terminal, we had to take a Bus around one hour because this time we gonna stay in the North of Ishigaki Island for a few Days!Læs mere

    GlassBoat Tour @ Kabira Bay

    As we arrived pretty late last Night, we didn’t do much, just went for Dinner and after an early Good Night Sleep…

    … after we woke up, we made ourselves ready for the Day, first stop Breakfast, we found a nice Cafe, where we enjoyed an Açai Bowl, a juice & a coffee, of course.. with a lot of energy we walked to the Beach Side, well, to the Bay of Kabira… we booked a 30 min Tour with a GlassBoat, which took us around the Bay & we could admire the Underwater World through the Glassfloor in the Boat… guess the Highlight was that we saw Clownfish’s… WE FOUND NEMO!!Læs mere

    Hidden Waterfall

    … as we ride the street along, and crossing a bridge, we heard water, so we were curious and found just down by the Bridge a cute, little, hidden Waterfall… of course we had to check it out, so we parked our bike and made our way down… and there it is just a minute from the street but you feel like in the middle of the jungle, a picture perfect Waterfall, with a natural pool, it also has a robe to jump in the water, and guess what, the ground of this natural pool is sand… BEST HIDDEN SPOT EVER!!!Læs mere

    Vending Machine?!

    … still looking for the Cave… but we just can’t find it… and it’s getting late… but as a last stop on our Bike Ride we found a pretty nice little hidden Beach, soo beautiful… just because we saw this Vending Machine and behind was a little hidden way, which took us to this beautiful hidden Beach… also a small open cave, well because of the rock combinations looks like it…

    Fact is: because of this hidden Beach, we were not sad at all, that we couldn’t find this other more touristy Cave… This hidden one, is the perfect Ending of this Day!!!    Læs mere

    Ramen for Dinner

    As we met a Couple (from Greece/Netherlands) in the Hostel, and they had the same plan where to go for Dinner, we decided to go together, it was nice, talking the 4 of us, enjoying a Beer and the Best Ramen on the Island…
    It’s a cute little Restaurant and you can sit outside on the Terrace…

    Beach Vibe

    How we spend our last time here on the Island before we have to go to the airport?! Well, that’s easy, as it is so hot today, we went to another Beach here in Kabira Bay, like 10 min from the Hostel… and just enjoyed the Sun, the Sand & the Sea… BEACH VIBE!
