• Temples and tissues- part 1

    So much to share. Today was magical. You know I love history! Wow! We started our day at Borobudar, the largest Buddhist temple in the world; built 1,200 years ago. Wow! Just wow!

    To protect the stone, you are required to wear special shoes if you want to climb to Nirvana (top floors). Also, it was very hot, so Jean rented an umbrella and I bought a local hat. Life saving.
    Having worked in construction, I am amazed at the puzzle joints and dove tailing done with the stones so that no mortar was used in any part.

    It’s beautiful, spiritual and peaceful in Nirvana. The two videos are the guide explaining the five different hand poses and what the represent.
