Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi Tunnels

Our ship navigated the busy river up to our dock 45 minutes from the centre. In the afternoon we travelled to the Chu Chi tunnel complex. The tunnel complex was one of many developed by the Viet Cong during the American war. Thousands of Viet Cong guerillas lived in these tunnels in the forests and were able to launch attacks in enemy territory. We ventured down one of the tunnels and it was extremely uncomfortable. It's hard to imagine living for months/years on end in these conditions.En savoir plus
