Nestled in the shadows of the Acropolis, Sabbas rooftop restaurant was where it's at. Delicious food, great atmosphere, reasonable priced, and the best view of the Acropolis.
Athens by Night

After dinner, we took in the night life and did more wandering... The cool of the night made it very enjoyable.
Acropolis

We made the early morning g trek up to the Acropolis and it was still crawling with tourists. We wandered through the ancient artifacts and just enjoyed the views and the ancient soil.

This is the very new state of the art museum solely dedicated to the Parthenon. I tagged along with an English speaking tour and it made for a very interesting visit.
The Streets of Athens

Wandering the streets of Athens, we saw the Agora, the flea market and had yummy gyros.
Piraeus

We took the metro from Athens to the port of Piraeus. We then hiked a great distance with our backpacks in the hot hot sun to the meet our boat. The Carnival Vista set sail at 19:00.

After dinner, Neil, Aaron and I wandered around the boat to check out all her amenities.
Day 1:. fun day at sea

Due to the attempted coup in Turkey, our first port to Kusidasi was cancelled and we enjoyed a leisurely day to explore the boat.

We docked on the beautiful island of Rhodes and spent the day wandering the ancient streets within the walled city littered with touristy shops and reataurants.
