From Pompeii, we took the slow train to Sorrento, a touristy town built on cliffs, at the start of the Amalfi Coast. Lunch was a tasty gelato from David's Gellateria.

After saying no to Europe's smallest beach, we found a beautiful sandy beach right below the Excelsior Vittoria. Score!!

We took the Express ferry back to Napoli amidst a crazy storm. The boys loved the winds and rains and I enjoyed the views of Sorrento perching on the cliff side.

We pulled up to the Coliseum in style in two black Mercedes vans. We had an hour to book it through the place. It was crawling with people and Haw Boo had a hard time going up and down the steps.

Day 8: Livorno

Last minute, our family and Jerry decided to head into Florence via shutter, bus and train. We made it there in record time as we had super quick transfers and the express train.

So glad we made the trip to Florence. It is artsy, chic, and filled with good food and good shopping. The big cathedrals and statues everywhere were a great bonus!

We stumbled into the central market with leather stands, foods, olive oils, , veggies, meats, cheeses, and jerseys... Aaron walked away with a Neymar jersey and Braden, a Buffon.

The final port of our cruise... 🙁. It has been a great 10 days of blitzing through the Mediterranean cities of Europe and we have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on and off the Carnival Vista.
