So today I started a 65km ride at 6:45am and finished it at around 4pm to say I was shattered and sore was a bit of an understatement amazing country but a very hard ride feel a bit sorry for the horse that had to carry me

Today we went to go and look at a potential ride base for the championship ride in May that mark and Emma organise.
It was an amazing farm (I went just to be nosey) it was 30,000 acres with 22 workers crazy I was one of their many wool sheds which had 9 stands and an incredible set of yards.
On the way home Mark took me up the mountain to see the ski village hasn't got any snow at the minute but was cool to see. Scary how many rocks are under you when you go skiing. A bit weird like a ghost town with no snow or people.Leer más

ViajeroGreat photos Jen. Incredible scenery. Nice to see the Ski resports without snow. We used to travel around the alps in the summer testing cars and stop at the Ski slopes, they look so different without the snow. Nice shearing barn ! xxx

Productive day

So today was really interesting we had guys come and TB test the cattle which are hopefully going for live export. So today they took bloods to check for BVD, IBR and John's as well as the TB test.
But They have a very different test over here. So instead of one like our with two different Injections they just have the one and it's done in the tail and then if it reads positive with a lump it then get blood tests done within 10 day to confirm whether it has TB. A much quick job all together really didn't take long at all to do 87 .
Then after that started on the second lot of drenching will only be another couple of days until we have finished all of them.
Had a very unexpected guest come in with the sheep today.

So we had a great trip out today first we made a pit stop at a market so I could see what they were like and look at someone of the first lambs sales.
Then we headed towards Hamilton to go to a bit agricultural show called the field days they usually have it in June but this was the first one back from covid so and it was really cool no livestock just businesses with some really good deals on some I couldn't resist 😊Leer más

Christmas to remember
So on the 22nd December I flew back to Australia from New Zealand to spend Christmas and New year with an amazing family. We managed to keep it a secret from the boys so they were very shocked when I surprised them. One of the best reactions ever. A lot of screaming involved.
It was so much fun the lead up to Christmas making cookies for santa and wrapping presents up for family.
On Christmas eve the boys were so excited and wouldn't go to bed so this year and English santa came and it was so much fun sneaking around.
And on Christmas morning they woke me up bright and early by jumping on my bed.
It was a very strange Christmas missing family and friends but defiantly one to remember!Leer más

What a way to end the year.
Was such an amazing experience seeing a rodeo.
Was kind of jealous would love to have a go, but might pass on the bull riding.
This particular rodeo is quite famous and this year was the biggest turn out ever it was such an amazing atmosphere.
And many many cowboys 😜

This afternoon we went to Rachel and family place to go on their well swamp and go water boarding it was a lot of fun and a very good way to get rid of a hangover.

For the last couple of days we have had a holiday at rainbow beach. We surprised a friend of Beck and Craig's and her family for her birthday.
It was such a lot of fun on the beach, body boarding, fishing, swimming, walking and eating way to much.

So today we left the amazing floating houses and went to this really cool surprise activity. Was so relaxing floating down the river on a bamboo raft.
After this in the heat of the day we climbed 1262 stairs to see a temple. GOD IM UNFIT.
But I was the first girl to finish it in 23 minutes.
Definatly worth it for the view.

For the last three days I have been on the koh phi phi island.
It's amazing very cool places to see with all the street markets and night life.
We first went to a fire show which was mind blowing and of course I had to give it a go.
The the next day we went on a speed boat for the day to go snorkeling and see some very beautiful places. With a very messy night to finish even rode a manchanical bull.
So the next was a completely free day to recover which was needed really so the pool became our home.Leer más

We met 4 elephants today and fed them watermelon.

I made chicken and coconut soup

First time skiing

So today I had my very first ski lesson I had a 2 hour lesson I spent like half an hour of the kids slope then did 2 runs on the blue slope. It was actually alot of fun when I wasn't falling over. And I had a really lovely instructor which helps. Then after we headed to the next door ski slope where they have a sledge dog companion was pretty cool and I got to cuddle a few huskies.Leer más

Today we went skiing again I had another lesson but this time it was only for an hour with a different instructor. It was very good actually he was more into the technique so I felt it was very helpful. Then for the second hour we all went out on the slopes I did 2 blue runs and one red

ViajeroJen, you are looking very confident and a right poser. Most the time, Skiing is about looking fabulous on the slopes and on the chairlifts and you certainly look the part. After a long 16 hour train journey I finally made it to Venice.
This is such a beautiful place and i haven't evem been here that long or seen half of it yet.
Had a gorgeous dinner tonight it was the biggest steak I have ever seen!!

Exploring venice

Today I was a proper tourist wandering round taking hundreds of photos and buying too many things that say venice.
I went to s. Maria and St Marks Square as well as many different places in between. Even lit two candles for Grandpa and Emma!!
Today was the start of the carnival which happens every year for just short of a month and there was a parade in the main canal and there was all sorts of people in costumes and masks. I thought I would join in so brought a mask to !!!
Got to admit a tad disappointed there was only one boat in the parade 😕Leer más
