As we drove home the snow got heavier and heavier. That’s OK because it made spotting the wildlife easier and easier. We already saw one bear this morning, but on the way home we saw a second bear. And he was right on the edge of the road so we were able to get some good pictures. But because he was right on the edge of the road it wasn’t a good idea to stop and get out so the pictures are from in the truck as we drove by. This one was another black bear. And he was soaking wet from standing out in the rain.

It was an hour and a half drive back and about halfway through the snow really started to stick. It started piling up on the ground. We even saw a plow, actually plowing.

We passed several more bison who didn’t really seem to care about the snow and we saw one more bear. He was pretty far away so we didn’t get great pictures. But that makes it three bears in one day. A bear trifecta.
