Incredible gorge walk from Cain towards Poncebos.

We managed about three quarters of the walk before we had to turn back for our taxi. The 10km road from Posada Valdeon to Cain is so narrow and twisty that mohos are forbidden to drive it, so we had to taxi it to the start of the gorge walk.

The walk is on the gorge floor but hundreds of feet in the air on narrow paths and ledges cut out of the sheer rock face with vertical drops to the floor below. Fine until you have to pass someone coming the other way.

One of the best walks we have ever done with simply stunning scenery. Plenty of butterflies and the occasional griffon vulture and wild goat to be seen.

We probably did about four or five miles in each direction.Leggi altro
