This was one of the more confronting tours as it was a museum dedicated to the horrors of the Gestapo and the increasingly fascist police state that existed from 1933-1945.

Reisender The impact to being here was like the Hiroshima museum it was very overwhelming.....so many stories of bravery and wasted lives. It is incredible how 1.3 million people could just “disappear from such a small area.Withold Pilecki is one I will never forget....a Polish war hero who deliberately went into Auschwitz to try and cause a breakout when all seemed futile he escaped and over the journey saved 1000’s of people.
