Hillview Terrace Suites

July 30 - St. John's, NL. First full day. Though it's cool and overcast, we set off for the Railway Museum in St. John's (for Don!). We drove to Quidi Vidi just outside St. John's, bought some beer but didn't take the brewery tour. Went to Nautical Nellies on Water St. for lunch and wandered Water Street, harbourfront, Murray Premises and walked down George St. where they were setting up for the George St. Festival. Rock band on stage. Paul was supposed to join us mid morning but due to the weather they didn't get to St. John's until 9pm - a 30 hour ferry trip from North Sydney, NS, instead of 14 hours. The boat couldn't dock because of the winds onshore. J&D and Den and I enjoyed a chicken dinner in the suite while we waited.Baca lagi
