Clarenville to Spaniards Bay

After a quick breakfast at Timmy's we set off for Placentia. Toured the fort at Castle Hill with a self guided tour. Stopped in Placentia for lunch (fish chowder for them, pancakes for me). We are now on our way to St Mary's Ecological reserve at the bottom tip of the Avalon Penninsula to see puffins and gannets.
Then a couple hours back to Conception Bay on the Avalon penninsula to The Spaniards Room Heritage Hous B&B. The house is 114 year old and we stayed on the 3rd floor where there were 2 bedrooms and a small bath to share. They suggested we go to Lynda's Home Cooking for dinner in next door Bay Roberts. When we got there they had run out of food (must be a good place!) so we ended up at a chinese place and had probably the worst chinese ever. But that's ok - all other meals have been great. Back to the room for a glass of wine and a game of Uno - Don won!Weiterlesen
