    The great walkabout

    Visiting a city by foot or by car are two totally different things. The sights, the sounds, and the smells that you experience by foot are well worth the tired legs and aching feet. One of the most interesting sites in Chicago is the Tribune Tower. It's a building of buildings so to speak. Embedded all around the lower sections of the building are stones from various structures around the world. The great wall of China, The Taj Mahal, and the Parthenon just to name a few. We walked a little over 16 miles in total before settling in to our hotel room with a wonderful view of the Willis Tower (aka Sears Tower) out of our window.Read more
