    Sullivan's Island/Ft. Moultrie

    The following day we drove over to Sullivan's Island and toured Fort Moultrie. Fort Moultrie was originally built to protect Charleston during the Revolutionary War. It was later used by the Confederates to bomb Ft. Sumter and then by the union army to do the same. We walked around the fort and checked out the view of Ft. Sumter just across the water. Also saw the grave of Gen. Moultrie and this old church dating back to ....We later ate lunch at a restaurant called "The Obstinate Daughter".Read more
