Day - 59 Adiós, Barcelona - Bonjour Paris

Bye bye Barcelona - hello Paris!! Wow who would have thought that I would be actually doing this. Two major cities - two major countries. And I’m travelling first class on the TGV. Cutting through the centre of France all the way to Paris for 5 nights. So Paris. The final destination of my EMO. When I started planning my trip - Paris and Athens were the bookend cities. My first accommodation reservation was for Paris - so thanks to Steve C - I booked the 3 Ducks Boutique Hostel. I’ll have someone to blame if it turns out a goose!!
I’m now in France on the TGV an hour into the trip. The Barcelona Sants was not too bad - had a little hitch with my billet (ticket) but sorted it OK.
This morning I had decided to try chasing some more art - but again ended up a dud - so in the end decided to purchase a tourist bus hop on hop off style tour of the city. It was busy - but sort of OK and made me realise how much of the city and its landmarks I had actually already seen mostly on foot! It took a couple of hours - so I headed to the station after picking up my pack from the hostel. Departure time was was set for 16:24 - yep that’s scheduling to the minute supposedly.
