Hidden Corners of Mälaren

Since we’ve both been to Stockholm many times and the city no longer holds many secrets for us, we decided to escape into the countryside west from the capital for a day.

We drove along the shores of Lake Mälaren and stopped in the charming little town of Strängnäs, where we were amazed by its colourful wooden houses and the old windmill even made more memorable by the freezing wind. Inside the cathedral, surrounded by art and religious treasures, a tenor suddenly started singing Schubert which added that extra layer to our experience.

Västerås surprised us as well, with its impressive cathedral and a few wonderfully authentic old corners.Baca lagi
