  • Laon

    Jan 3–4 in France ⋅ 🌙 0 °C

After fighting our way through passport control at the tunnel we have finally found a decent park up in France at Laon P4N #3157
Awoke to a frosty morning and beautiful sunrise 😊

  • Pralognan-la-Vanoise

    January 4 in France ⋅ ☁️ 1 °C

A great first week in the mountains with a bit of work and play 😁

The second week was early mornings setting up the course for the racing. But still managed to have fun! 😎⛷️

  • La Thuile

    Jan 22–28 in Italy ⋅ 🌫 -2 °C

We travelled through Mont Blanc Tunnel which was £77 return. It was -4 °C outside but a barmy +17 °C in the tunnel 🙃
A great week in La Thuille skiing ⛷️. Catching up with old friends and making new ones too.
Soon we were off again leaving snowy Italy, back through the tunnel and onto Switzerland 🇨🇭

  • Melchsee-Frutt, Melchtal

    January 24 in Switzerland ⋅ ☁️ 2 °C

Leaving La Thuile in a snow shower we took The Mont Blanc tunnel back into France, stopping for a quick shop in Chamonix, where it was warm and sunny 🥴
We headed over the pass into Switzerland to the Goppenstein train station. Here we saw a large Ibex munching on grass by the roadside 😁
The Lötschberg: car train between Goppenstein and Kandersteg passing through the Hockenhorn mountain in the Bernese Alps.
Our onward journey was uneventful apart from one crazy route 🙃
We spent a long weekend in Melchtal camp, where Martin helped with the FIS Telemark World Cup and also successfully completed his first assessment for FIS TD. It was great to see Jaz Taylor win 🥇 in the parallel sprint 🤗
Loki and I just had fun exploring and playing in the snow! 🐾😁

  • Saint-Étienne-les-Orgues, D113

    February 14 in France ⋅ 🌬 6 °C

We found on P4N #243745 a park up just off the D113, which on the first night was very quiet but visible from the road.
Next morning Martin walked up the track and found the perfect spot……we only saw Le Chasse once. It was a lovely sunny spot with nobody else but us! 🤗
It was so peaceful we stayed for four night, exploring the tracks around us 🐾🥰

  • Chêne Bleu Winery, Crestet

    February 19 in France ⋅ ☁️ 12 °C

We stopped at this wonderful winery Chêne Blue, here we were the only ones participating in a tasting, so got a very personalized experience. The wines were delicious and all very unique.
Afterwards we found a quiet little spot down a forestry track near the vineyard for the night.Read more

  • Mont Ventoux

    February 20 in France ⋅ ☁️ 9 °C

Driving up from the south, D974, we drove through think mist all the way up until we reached Le Chalet Reynard, where we broke out above the clouds. The famous summit was visible!
A great park found on P4N #453317 with great walks. Martin & Loki even managed to reach the summit on foot in the morning 😊 but having to beat a hasty retreat as the wind picked up and the thick fog rolled back in making for an interesting decent back to the van for breakfast.Read more

  • Gorges de la Nesque, Mèthamis

    February 24 in France ⋅ ☁️ 12 °C

We drove through Gorges de la Nesque… luckily not much traffic as some parts were very narrow! 🫣. A magnificent limestone gorge, several hundred metres deep, which cuts through the Plateau du Vaucluse over a length of about 25 km.
Another great park up, thanks to P4N #511680 for a couple of days, in the back and beyond….up a dirt track on top of a brow of a hill overlooking Mont Ventoux which did finally appear out of the cloud for a brief moment. 😊

  • Ferme auberge La Maguette, Sault

    Feb 24–25 in France ⋅ ☁️ 10 °C

This was a France Passion stop.
A lovely small restaurant within a family run farm, and a very popular place amongst the local.
The Farm Inn had an excellent unique 7 course menu made with farm produce (on this occasion pig), at a bargin of €35 per person including wine and aperitif! 🤗Read more

  • Col d’Aulan

    February 25 in France ⋅ ☁️ 8 °C

We drove along another amazing limestone gorge, Gorges d’Aulan, with a beautiful turquoise river of the Toulourenc River running through. There were many lavender fields all along the Col d’Aulan, it must be a beautiful site in the summer! 😊
The park up was an amazing 360 view up a muddy track, with again a glimpse of Mont Ventoux out of the clouds and a gorgeous sunrise.

  • CosmoDrôme - Observatory

    Feb 26–27 in France ⋅ ☀️ 6 °C

Next stop not far away but we wanted to see the 7 planets….and where better to see them at an observatory 😉
A great park up just below the observatory (which was closed for the winter) with 360 views. It was quite windy and cold but a stunning sunset with Mont Ventoux as the backdrop and we did see 5 out of the 7 planet, as 2 were hidden behind Ventoux! 🥴😁

  • La Condamine-Châtelard

    Mar 2–6 in France ⋅ ☀️ 2 °C

The first park up we had to abort due to the track being sheet-ice and squeaky bum time as the van started sliding towards the edge 🫣 after turning around.
We have spent the last 3 days at this very peaceful location with just the sound of the river. The weather has been amazingly warm and sunny during the day, brilliant for testing out are our new Skotti BBQ, which hasn’t disappointed us😎

We stopped for 2 nights and had a great day skiing Pra-Loup with amazing weather and chilled out with a tasty lunch and bottle of rosé in the sunshine 😎, prior to the FIS Telemark World Cup event.
Returning to Pra Loup for the World Cup racing we had some heavy snow for the week, with 2 out 3 races unfortunately cancelled due to the piste conditions. Martin has passed his final assessment for FIS Telemark TD! 🍾🎉
That’s our final skiing trip over……skis packed away until next year, now south to the sun and our next adventure! 😎🤗🐪

  • Aquouass Briech أقواس برييش

    Mar 22–24 in Morocco ⋅ 🌬 15 °C

Spent a night by the docks in Algeciras to catch the early 0700 ferry but unfortunately they didn’t let us board and had to wait for the next one at 1000 🫤
    Goodbye Europe……Hello Africa!
As it goes…..we were first on, after the lorries, but last off! 😩 it only took an hour and a half to go through x-ray and customs though 😊
After a chaotic Tangia to pick up some SIM cards, it was time to relax at our first stop in Morocco at Hotel Briech, with a friendly, warm welcome from the family.
We decided to stay an extra night due to the bad weather forecast of strong winds and heavy rain 🥴
