Beach + Coast Drive + Redwoods

Morning drive to the beach. Volleyball sessions. Loooots of people there, about 20 nets, great views!
Drove down the coast today, ate at bear restaurant, cliffsite at the beach and then for a walk into the redwoods. Amazing trees, beautiful lighting. Got aware of poisonous ivy and oak today. We want to find and identify them soon to be aware of them on trail. I read about them earlier, causing hikers troubles at one of the first water creeks of the pct. Gotta avoid them ^^ Made deal for an dehydrator on facebook marketplace, so we start with the self made meal prep tomorrow. Still a lot to organize for shipping resupply boxes. Got to order some gear. And explore more in San Francisco! Intense time this full moon.

Morgendliche Fahrt zum Strand. Volleyball-Sessions. Riiichtig viele Leute da, etwa 20 Netze, mega Ausblick!
Heute die Küste entlanggefahren, gegessen im „Bear Restaurant“, Klippenblick am Strand und danach ein Spaziergang in die Redwoods. Unglaubliche Bäume, wunderschönes Licht.
Heute auch zum ersten Mal bewusst geworden, wie giftig Poison Ivy und Poison Oak sind. Wir wollen sie bald erkennen und identifizieren können, damit wir sie auf dem Trail vermeiden. Ich hatte heute mal gelesen, dass sie bei einem der ersten Wasserstellen am PCT Wanderern Probleme gemacht haben. Müssen wir auf jeden Fall meiden ^^
Haben heute über Facebook Marketplace einen Dehydrator klar gemacht – ab morgen geht’s also los mit der Vorbereitung der eigenen Wander-Mahlzeiten.
Es gibt noch einiges zu organisieren für den Versand der Resupply-Boxen. Müssen auch noch ein bisschen Ausrüstung bestellen. Und San Francisco weiter erkunden!
