On Tuesday, I decided to walk north of the city as I had gone south on Monday. North of the city led me along a path beside a marshland. Full of eucalyptus trees and looking very flooded. I got to the outskirts of town before turning around and heading back along the beach to the city centre.

For lunch I returned to the hostel with the intention of cooking. But I met Alex and Nathan and they were heading out to Ballina for lunch. I tagged along and we drove about 30 minutes to the city. Once there we found a very busy bakery and got wraps for lunch. I got a snitzel wrap toasted and headed to the beach to eat. Ballina is a cute little town on the coast. It looks like a nice place to visit but boring to live.

We headed back to Byron for the sunset and watched it from the beach. A bird spent the entire time trying to steal our crisps and Axels beer.

Back in the hostel I cooked and got by bag ready for the bus tomorrow to Brisbane.
