The hidden valley of Graskop

Today was a very busy day traveling along the aptly named "panorama route".
It is a route traveling the mountain range just west of Hoedspruit.

First stop: Graskop and this tiny valley with its waterfall, and a small afromontane ecosystem present in only 0.5% of Africa, fairly close to a rainforest. All there is lush and green, and the elevator taking us down to the valley floor left us with a very Jurassic Park feeling when looking at it through the greenery at the bottom.Read more
