After 6 hours of flight we land in Bachrain, for a stopover. After that we head to Riyhad where we see the old city and the kingdom tower even though the bridge of the tower wasn't open. Read more

    Welcome to Riyhad

    When we first woke up (after we got ready) we went to get breakfast at a place called Jones grocer which was the best breakfast we ever had!

     Afterwards we got an uber and went to the national museum. They had a number of fun activities eg painting n drawing. After a rest in the hotel we visited Diryia - the old capital and now a beautifully renovated development with restaurants etc. Everyone was super tired considering the time difference of 4h to Thailand.Read more

    Escaping the heat at campo imperatore

    After a relaxing morning we went on a wonderful road trip to famous campo imperator. A mountain landscape which reminded us of Iceland or Scotland. Expansive green plans without any trees n lots of sheep n dogs. We hiked to one of the refugios. Everyone made it up to 2.400m. What an achievement.     Enjoying the beach n pizza in vasto

    After a late wake up we get ready to go to the beach and hop in the car.About an hour later we arrive to the beach() we get changed and go for a swim in the water
    After a long swim we go to get some ice cream at a gelataria. We make a quick (40 minute) drive and go to get some delicious pizza After that we make a walk to get some ice cream and then we head back to the house.Read more

    Reaching London wasn't easy. A lot of obstacles were thrown in our way. We forgot to book Saeunn Livs ticket so we had to improvise. We arrived in London 3h ahead of her. Once reunited we started exploring the city. We ended up in Covent Garden watching street artists performing. It was so much fun.     Hamilton was clearly the highlight of today. A show full of energy about G Washington's right-hand man. We were all literally blown away by the performances of the ensemble. Before we had a wonderful day packed with sightseeing including the London Eye (after waiting for 45 min) and Tate gallery with an exhibition about the Blue Rider.     Meeting an old friend

    We took it easy this morning and only left house around 1pm. What a better place to meet my old friend Stuart than at McDonalds. To be fair that wasn't the plan but his girls were hungry after a 2h train ride from Cambridge to King's Cross. We briefly checked in at Harry Potter 9 3/4 gate and then continued to the science museum near Hyde Park. After a warm up phase the kids got along really well. Stuarts Emma n Alice 14 n 10 years respectively. Afterwards we had food on the go as I booked tickets for the paradox Museum. The kids loved it while we went for coffee.     The musical everyone has been waiting for. It was so much fun! Before we spent a wonderful and relaxing day in Greenwich. Crossed under the Thames River via the foot tunnel, explored the maritime museum, strolled along Greenwich and enjoyed a picnic in the park.Read more

    It took me 53 years to get into madame tussauds. But what fun it was for all of us. Different generations admiring different personalities. Then we slowly strolled along the highstreet of Marylebone to bond Street checking in at lululemon. We couldn't resist. In the london dungeon experience we learnt about revolutions the black death ... how scary. And later on it got really wicked.Read more

    It s our second last day in London. We are doing different things today. Lek is going to a designer outlet, Saeunn liv and Tristan go shopping n Chloe and I are visiting Sherlock Holmes museum. To make sure everyone's happy. We also pass a cozy public viewing area for the Olympics in portland Park. What a wonderful spot.     Football is king

    We are having beautiful brunch in Hampstead Heath a picturesque and posh Borough on a hill slope. We are enjoying everything london has to offer for breakfast. Later on we take a walk through the expansive parklands of Hampstead Heath and just sit relax n some read. Next on is one of the highlights of our trip. Man City play Man United in the community shield in Wembley stadium. Its 78.400 people and we are sitting close to the pitch. What an experience.! Now it's time to say goodbye to Chloe Tristan and Lek as they depart for Bangkok today 😞.

    After sending them off I am heading for a short city run around Hyde Park and then meet Saeunn liv for our final chapter. We bought last minute tickets for The book of Mormons. What a fun show n satire it is. Very much to our liking 😀    Read more
