Samarkand

When I told our local guide I was in Samarkand in 2004 she said I was probably one of only 50 foreign tourist they had that year. In 2023 they had 7 million.
Visited a place where they showed us how they make paper out of mulberry tree bark. Also visited the Amir Temur mausoleum and the largest mosque in Uzbekistan. And the burial sites of other people with amazing majolica decor.
And of course the Registan Square-with its three Madrassas-during the day and later for the lazer light show in the evening.Okumaya devam et
