Fun in the Tron

Today we woke late. We stayed up too late the night before indulging in room service dessert!

We met up with Gillian and Andrew and their children Robbie and Charlotte and spent the morning at the zoo. Hamilton Zoo is quite neat and full of interesting animals. We saw lots of monkeys, chimpanzees and, my favourite, giraffes. We had a spirited conversation regarding the conversion of plant matter into protein to grow a giraffe (or any other vegetarian). It is useful having a doctor with you as it is fun to confuse her with twisted logic.

The afternoon was spent resting. I met up with Gillian in the hotel bar and we chatted over lemonade and a bag of chippies while the girls went for a swim in the hotel pool.

In the evening we went to Paul's place (brother of Gillian) for a barbecue. Mrs Nixon was there too and we had a lovely reunion. It was great to see everyone again as it has been a few years since we last caught up. There are no photos because I forgot to take any!Baca lagi
