    A famous temple in Kerala, India where millions of people come to worship lord Ayyappan every year. It gives a positive refreshing vibe every visit. We group of 4 decided to go to this temple and also a few other temples and places on the way. First, we visited the Brahmapureswar temple near Trichy

    2. Grand Anaikat Kalani
    The Kallanai Dam was built during the 2nd century AD by Karikalan, a king of southern India's old Chola Dynasty and is also one of the oldest irrigation systems in the world that is still in use. Kallanai Dam is the fourth oldest dam in the world, and first in India.

    3. Pambai River & Sabarimala
    The devotees coming to visit the temple initially come to this river, which lies downhill of the Sabarimala Temple, which is located approximately 6 to 7kms uphill from this point
    . Vehicles will not be allowed from this point on, so we started trekking after taking a holy bath in the river.

    After visiting the temple sanctum after an 18 hrs of waiting period in the queue.

    We decided to take another route along the different districts of Kerala and visited a few more temples with unique architecture and cultural practices

    4. Vaikom Shree Mahadev temple
    Here men are not allowed to wear a shirt, only with the doti or pants. It’s a giant huge temple maintaining its unique ancient style

    5. Our next stop is at Guruvayur Temple a famous temple in Kerala.

    6. Then we crossed the border and came back to Tamil Nadu. At last, we visited the Palani Murugan temple. This is the most famous temple of Tamilnadu situated at the top of a small hill along the western ghats.
