Settling in Rome w/ Birds

Continuing our awesome adventure in Rome. After a 3 1/2 hour drive from the Amalfi coast to Rome, we arrived and quickly started looking for lodging. No worries as we were seeing hotel stays from $15-$25,000 a night, but we chose to settle into a two bedroom apartment in the heart of Rome for nothing near that price😁.
We quickly hit the cobblestone alleys and streets and grabbed a quick bite at a Cafe .
Unfortunately, while sitting at the café, we witnessed a little French/pug dog, run out and get hit by the street sweeper which was very traumatic for Tiffany . I hope the little guy survived.
Started walking towards the Colosseum and Tiffany wanted us to transport by Birds (scooter). Another, “ not for the faint of heart way to go” but absolutely awesome.
Swerving through people and cars and buses on rough cobblestone. Roads is a thrill!
We got to see many of the historical landmarks, and it is truly amazing to see these buildings and structures that are nearly 2000 years old.
After another for fun, adventurous day, we finished off with a great meal .
The restaurant was a recommendation from a local, and it was very cool because it was a very Jewish community and all of us enjoyed supporting them during the tragic times of the war in Israel. Good night & Shalom to all!Читать далее
