    Red Rocks

    Daryl refers to some areas as “Sharkie”
    Apparently river mouths are one of these places.
    There are a lot of smaller fish coming in and out of the river as the tide changes, a good feeding ground.

    As we watched these pounding waves on Red Rocks beach, we decided it was probably “Sharkie”.
    There was not a surfer or swimmer in sight.
    And those waves looked amazing to us.
    I think local knowledge is a very important thing.

    These views were stunning!
    We stayed on the beach for ages watching the waves pounding the rocks.
    But once we headed up the trail to the top of the headland, we were mesmerised.
    Walking very carefully, and not to close to that sheer drop, you could see forever to the north ....
    And again, forever to the south.
    It was on top of the cliff that we could see the small shark making it’s way through the water.

    The lifebuoy was slightly worrying as well as slightly reassuring... I couldn’t work out which.
