We just left Charlotte and are headed to Alabama today.
Stop 1: Auburn, AL

Pit stop in Auburn, AL before continuing to Montgomery. It was so good to see my old college stomping grounds after years away. War Eagle!
Stop 2: Montgomery, AL

Stopped in Montgomery for the night. Will be heading to Mississippi and Louisiana tomorrow morning.
Stop 3: Selma, AL

Quick pit stop this morning in historic Selma AL.
Stop 4: Cypress Bald Swamp, MS

Lunch stop at the cypress-bald swamps outside of Jackson, Mississippi. We had some terrible storms right before this picture. Rain and Mississippi roads do not mix! Thankful for some sunshine again.
Stop 5: Vicksburg, MS

This afternoon we drove through the Vicksburg national monument where the battle of Vicksburg was fought during the civil war. We also got to cross the Mississippi River.
Stop 6: Shrevport, LA

Overnight in Louisiana! Headed off to Texas in the morning.
Stop 7: Tyler, TX

Quick stop for a morning walk in the Tyler Texas Rose Garden. The pictures don’t do it justice.
Stop 8: Waco, Texas

Visited Chip and Joanna Gaines’ Silos in Waco this afternoon. Got to check out the silos, their shop, and bakery.
Stop 9: Temple, TX

We had to stop in Temple just for Buc-Ee’s. Buc-Ee’s is the ultimate Texas experience. It’s a mix of sheetz, cracker battle, and Costco! If you can even imagine that. Their mascot is Buc-Ee the Czytaj więcej
Stop 10: Abeliene, TX

Made it to the other side of Texas! Calling it a night before we finally get to New Mexico tomorrow. Got to stop at my favorite Texas Barbecue. Feels good to be back in Texas!
Stop 11: Roswell, NM

After a 4.5 hour drive of the NOTHINGNESS of west Texas, we crossed into New Mexico. We stopped to check out the famous aliens which can be found everywhere in this town. We also stopped to see Aunt Czytaj więcej
Stop 12: Ruidosa, NM

Stop 13: Las Cruces, NM

We finally made it! We are officially at my grandmothers for the next week at her home in Las Cruces. She greeted us with my favorite green chili enchiladas. Feels good to be back in New Mexico.
Stop 14 : Santa Fe, NM

After a week in Las Cruces, we are back on the road and heading East! We took it easy today only driving about 4 hours to Santa Fe. We took the longer scenic root through the turquoise trail. We Czytaj więcej
Stop 15: Amarillo, TX

Pit stop in Amarillo to check out Cadillac Ranch. We also got to see Uncle Denis and Aunt Carolyn. It was so nice to catch up with them.
Stop 16: Oklahoma City, OK

After driving on Route 66 all day we are in Oklahoma City for the night. Resting up for a full day of driving tomorrow.
Stop 17: Little Rock, AR

Pit stop in Little Rock, Arkansas. Home of the Clinton’s. Don’t worry there is an actual “little rock” in Little Rock!
Stop 18: Memphis, TN

Pit stop in Memphis. Homeland of Elvis! Got a sneak peak of Graceland and crossed the Mississippi River for the second time.
Stop 19: Nasheville, TN

Overnight in Nashville before the long haul back to Charlotte.
Stop 20: HOME

Two weeks later and I am home sweet home!!!!
