    We packed in as much exploring as we could our first day here. (Fingers crossed this will help us beat jet lag.) We checked our a local food stall market, Rosenburg Castle, historic Nygge Haven, and a boat tour.Read more

  • Frederiksborg Slot

    Day trip up to northern Denmark to check out two castles. First you was the Frederiksborg Slot. The town of Hillerød was full of sushi restaurant. We picked up some take away to munch on before heading off to the next castle.Read more

    Had the best brunch this morning! One of my favorite things about Copenhagen is the hygge aspect of restaurants. We got to sit outside with a blanket and coffee while we waited for our table. This brunch spot let you make your own board of small dishes. I got salmon, bread basket, eggs, yogurt with rhubarb, and avocado.Read more

  • Shopping Day

    We enjoyed Copenhagen’s interior design scene by checking out Hay House and Studio Arhoj. Studio Arhoj is a handmade ceramics and glassblowing store. You can see them making creations at the back of the store. It was incredible and made my art loving heart so happy!Read more

  • Tivoli

    Spent the evening at Tivoli, the second oldest amusement park in the world. This park just feels so cozy! I think it puts Disney to shame when it comes to feeling magical.

    As if brunch, shopping, and Tivoli weren’t enough.. we also packed in a couple extra activities today. We saw Hans Christian Anderson’s grave, climbed the round observatory tower, and visited Freetown Christiana. The last picture has been our landmark to find our Airbnb each day. We finally got to see it lit up!Read more

  • Reffen: Food Market

    Pit stop at one of the coolest food halls I’ve ever been to. All the stands were built into old shipping containers. You can even find old shipping containers as apartments along the shore. They had the kargest variety of food we’ve ever seen. We nibbled on Danish hotdogs, duck confit, and raclette. We also got caught in the rain waiting for the ferry.Read more

    Other various findings from our day. Easter is in full swing here in Copenhagen, from Easter bakery goodies in the window to spring florals. We got caught in the rain in the middle of the day but thankfully it was just a little shower and we dried off quickly on our ferry.Read more

    Took a day trip to Odense, Denmark which is about an hour away by train. It’s the home of Hand Christian Anderson. It’s a cute quaint town that is proud of its history. We spend a good chunk of the day in the museum which was interactive and immersive. It was one of the coolest museums I’ve ever been to.Read more

    Spent out last night finally getting our hands on the countries National fish of Smørrebrød. It’s traditionally finished with Schnaps. We are headed back home in the morning!
