We landed bright in early in Reykjavik around 4:30 am and spent a lot of quiet time wandering the streets until everything opened around 10.
Golden Circle: Thingvellir

Today we drove the Golden Circle. Stop one was Thingvellir National Park. It’s where the North American and Eurasian plate meet and create a fissure, making some pretty cool landforms! (Post 1 of 4)

Last night we got to stay in the hotel that is owned by one of my family members. We also got to eat her mom’s restaurant next door in the morning. It was a true Gästehaus experience.
