I arrived in Antofagasta! It was so great so see old friends and to meet new ones!

ПутешественникBuena Pregunta: It is winter here. Antofagasta is really far north of Santiago (Where it snowed). I am at the Tropic of Capricorn (if you want to look at latitude). In the day time it is between 16-19 degrees C. However, Antofagasta is in the desert and the temperature drops quickly, at night it is closer to 9 or 10 degrees Celsius. However, there is no heat inside buildings in Antofagasta (Santiago has some). Everyone wears a coat all of the time. In school, students will wear gloves and scarves. If it is sunny, you don't need a coat, but if it is cloudy, it is cold. Oh, and the weather itself never actually changes, only the amount of cloud cover. In Antofagasta it will not rain. ПутешественникYum indeed. When I was in Chile last time, Florencia's was just a food cart. Now, it is a full restaurant! Everyone in Antofagasta knows how yummy Florencia's is. The empanadas melt in your mouth. Empanadas are always better when shared with friends. :)
